Self Portrait in Mocha Carafe

A recent discussion group that I participated-in led to pursuit of windows as subject matter (especially in ways that reveal something about the artist).  This work includes a reflected self-image in a mocha carafe, which includes an upward vista to a pyramid shaped skylight overhead and a lateral view out a window and French-doors.  Since I had conceived-of/designed and built this dining room space in which I was sitting (and enjoying my morning mocha), this painting reveals a space that I had imagined, then made manifest, and was now sitting-in.  A self-portrait painting --- and revealing on multiple levels of consideration.
